Venice Blvd + Fairfax Ave Power Transmission Station III”
Watercolor & ink on hand made paper
22” x 30”
2005
"When I was a little boy television was just getting into homes. My family got one. The family would watch it but I went around behind the T. V. I was able to detach the back and I would look into the set. I loved the glowing orange vacuum tubes. I thought of it as a city at night in the future. It seemed magical. These drawings of power transmission equipment remind me of my fascination with the insides of the T. V. I find things that are designed not to be looked at are the most rewarding to look at. "
